I work as Associate professor in the Laboratorio de Ecositemas y Bosques (EcoBos) at Universidad de La Frontera (UFRO).  I am also part of the CENAMAD Basal Excellence research center.  My main interests deal with forest ecology and restoration.  

I teach undergrads and graduate students in the Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias y Medioambiente  (e.g., Natural resources Management Master program, Doctoral program in Agri-food sciences and environment).  I serve on the board of the University Forest University Forest  [Parque  Rucamanque] and have helped to promote waste separation at UFRO (SepaRRRemos).  

My research focuses on restoration ecology, plantation conversion, invasive species management, and responsible natural resource management.
